Van Alstyne is about an hour north of Dallas, on Hwy 75.
It is just south of Sherman. Very small town, about 2,500 people.
I love it there, but again, it is my hometown.

I always wondered what it would be like to live in Dumas. I've driven through there so many times on trips back and forth to Colorado. Dalhart, to the northwest, has the reputation as being the coldest place in the state, but Dumas seems to be the last town of any real size.

It's a nice little town of about 13,000 people..

I was up there about 2 1/2 years ago..I don't get there as often as I'd like to tho. ( it's my hometown)

But like every where else wally world has killed the small town feeling, if you know what I mean...

I still have family there that have moved back after they retired and some that never left there..

And yes it does get very cold there in the winter...LOL

Victoria - 20 yrs
San Antonio - 8 yrs

Victoria is my home, and would be a great place to raise a family. It's just not the ideal place for a mid 20's looking for more out of life. Thus, I moved to San Antonio.
