Wow, those photos are beautiful. They're much prettier than I remember SP to be last time I was there.

absolutely GORGEOUS pictures.........wow
for those who put down SPI and Padre,,,,,,,,they have NO clue-go to Coastal GA or South Carolina and you tell me which is better-Texas Gulf Coast by far!
plus its dog friendly and 4x4 friendly here in Texas!

The pics above were taken during 2004.
I have a bad camera, just sharpened the pics up a bit in Photoshop. Lately, I've gone back to the old 35mm disposable cameras and trying to get more of a film look since I was tired of changing memory cards, charging up batteries, etc.
More pics tomorrow.

I love how the landscape is mixed with prickly pear, yucca (and maybe palmettos?) as well as other dune-like vegetation.

thats how it looks EVERYWHERE down where i live-45 min south of Corpus. i even have a 25-30 foot Spanish yucca tree in my backyard of my townhouse!

Excellent! For the right job opportunity that might be worth me learning Spanish just to live there. I love how colourfull the land looks with the greens, yellows, reds behind a blue sky.
So the beaches/dune areas don't look like this, only inland?
