One of the things so many people in Texas dread, is the state becoming like California, God forbid!!!

Yes because if Texas starts having a thriving porn industry; we instantaneously become like CA. Texas is going to continue growing and become more diverse either way. Bringing in other profitable ways of bringing in revenue will only help the state; not bring it down.

We already rank as having the most strip clubs (some probably in your backyard); why not start up a porn industry?

San Fernando Valley is still in Ca.......that means the people that live there are Californians.....California is not known for its conservatism....anything goes in CA. The birth of liberalism was in CA. I try not to profile but form all I've met thus far, I'm batting 100% on Californians being pure bred Californians.

Should we offer tax incentives and lessen regulations?
I don't want to make it easier or friendly to draw the porn industry to Texas.
I don't deny it's diseased hand has crept all over the country but just because there is money in it doesn't make it an industry to court.

I wouldn't necessarily call it porn, but the sex industry in Houston is HUGE. Everything from "massage parlors" to places made to look like "normal" bars or clubs with secret rooms in the back.

Prostitutes & pimps can be seen all up & down 59 on the regular.

Lil' Keke wasn't lyin when he said Houston, Texas is the home of the playas & pimps.

Yep, back home you see them all over. In the Carson/Torrance area, there are "Thai Massage" parlors all over the place. My buddy used to frequent one on PCH and Hawthorne and another on Crenshaw. He used to swear by the girls there. Never took him up on the offer to try it out on him. I could never bring myself to pay what I can get for free.

I dont know if that sort of thing even exists here in the Metroplex.

It does on Industrial Blvd in Dallas. In Arlington by Six Flags mall, we use to call Galleria Drive gonorrhea drive because it had so many nude modeling and message joints.

Back several years ago in Houston, they had a huge city wide bust on those massage parlors. The ivestigation had been on going for months before the sting was carried out. As I can recall, several hundred were popped. The women who worked there were mostly illegal immigrants from Asia & Mexico who came here promised a job & citizenship, only to get here & find out it was all just a large prostitution ring they were forced into. They basically became slaves & the pimps who owned them were sometimes young, well educated people who had real jobs & families.

You can still find them, though not in the numbers they used to exist. New ones have popped up since that raid. I'm sure there is a lot of "under the table" business going between them & the local law enforcement now so they're allowed to stay open.

Crazy **** yo!
