Not sure there's anything Texas can do to help the porn industry, according to the article below. Sales have dropped dramatically due to Internet clips and file-sharing. Tax incentives won't fix that.

are you a comedian or something or just have a screwed up idea on how to bring new revenue into the state?

Revenue is revenue. If Dallas wants to turn into the porn capital of the world, I dont care. If it means good cash and boosting the economy of the area, Im all for it. Im still not going to really watch it or pay anymore attention to the industry than I did when I lived in Sherman Oaks. But, being of a more libertarian mind set, I dont really care what other people do as long as they arent harming other people.

I saw the link...Wow...$6 Billion in revenue, as I've heard the adult industry is larger than people talk about. I used to work in specialty chemicals for the market leader and we only brought in 2.5 billion in revenue.

It could very well be cheaper here, but I can't see that kind of industry thriving in our state. Now, we've had a lot of mainstream films done here, and I could swear I've heard that there would be another Texas city wanting to do mainstream cinema films. It's likely there would be more of that rather than porn.

lots of things bring in revenue, but that doesn't mean I would want them in my backyard.
One of the things so many people in Texas dread, is the state becoming like California, God forbid!!!

It didnt seem to bother people in the San Fernando Valley, and they still have some of the most family friendly neighborhoods. It helped their economy heaps.
