Default TV in San Angelo

I just moved here for school and was wondering about the TV situation here is regarding over the air broadcasts. Is it just the TV signals are weak? I bought an HDTV antenna but all I can pick up is NBC on channel 3. Can't find ABC or FOX or any other channel for that matter on the scan. I read something about ABC being a low repeater from Abilene so maybe I can't get HD in that? Any tips or advice on this? Thanks.

I used to live in San Angelo for school too, use should be able to get Fox on digital channel 19, CBS on 11, NBC on 16, and PBS on 14( I think), when I was there ABC on was in analog only, I would reccomend getting cable or satelite though...

I thought everyone had cable these days. Either that or satellite tv. I can't imagine trying to pick up tv signals through the air with an antenna.

I highly recommend cable. That way, you'll get the stations you want coming in clearly. San Angelo has only a few broadcast stations locally (NBC, Channel 3; FOX, Channel 6/Cable 10; CBS, Channel 8), but their connection to ABC is from Channel 12 in Abilene, and it's broadcast on a translator in the San Angelo market.
