This is not about what one finds beautiful, this is about the fact that neither NC or VA have more/better fall color than New England.

Yeah New Englands fall color was nice...but I personally preferred Virginia and North Carolina's fall color a little more.

IDK...I just like it better, for one in NC and VA I see a cascade of colors due to the varied elevations and mountains. In Massachussetts, the colors were more level and the elevations werent as varied. Still beautiful nontheless.

I know southwestern VA has gorgeous fall foliage. I have a friend who lives in Roanoke plus I've learned this information from others who have lived there and the photos I've seen on the web show the beauty.

If you want to see fall foliage in this state, I suggest you visit the Daingerfield State Park in NE Texas. There are plenty of vibrant reds, oranges, golds, and purples to see in the area. Surprised even me.

I back this up for sure. We went to Caddo Lake one year in the fall and came back thru Daingerfield, and it was beautiful in the colors galore...
