Default Traveling. Need advice hotels/restaunts from Texarkana to El Paso

Hi all. We're in Texarkana and I just had the worst service and food imaginable. We're trying to drive 6 to 9 hours in our next stretch. I need help. What exit off 20 around the 6 to 9 hour stint would you suggest we stop and stay and eat and realx on our trip through Texas? We don't want to go too far off the highway but I'm really hoping for a nice exit this time ... Please Anyone?

It is probably too late, but a 6-9 hour drive should get you between Sweetwater or Midland from Texarkana.

I haven't stayed in Sweetwater, but they have several new hotels like Holiday Inn Express, LaQuinta, etc. right off the Interstate. There is also Buck's BBQ to eat at on I-20.

I've stayed in Big Spring, they also have large chain hotels off I-20, but I never found anything worth eating near the interstate.

Midland had hotels, but I believe most are off the interstate. I've stayed many times at a LaQuinta on North Loop 250 (don't stay at the Wall street location). You'd have to take the HWY 158/Loop 250 exit and go about 4 miles north. There is a Crackerbarrel, and several chain restaurants on the loop.

Good luck
