People do drive on Main St but I think it could be a good idea to close it to vehicular traffic.

Clutter what up Main st is now one of the least used vechicle St in DT...Nobody drives on main st in Downtown anymore..
If the economy was a primary issue, then the project should be flourishing now.

Ok have it ever come across a clutter to you , compared to before the rail... The only reason we are even talking about closing it is that the traffic has been reduced to such a small number , many people don't think closing it will have a big effect.

Ahem . . . congratulations on the proposal of yet another well endowed edifice. But why the height in this area? Wouldn't it be sufficient enough looking like this:

Harwood Dallas: A new and exciting district within Uptown Dallas, developed by Harwood International

the lot is next to a 36 story tower already, just down the street from an almost 30 story tower, and right up the road from a pair of twin 25ish story buildings. if you look at the plot of land there isnt a whole lot of room around the area for much of a "Harwood district" since its in the existing Museum district, where there are lots of low rise/lower density buildings, and also bordering Hermann Park. it doesnt give you many other options but building up. theres another 22 story residential tower proposed in the area by Hines, so the museum district will have its own little cluster of high rises overlooking Hermann Park.

Gotcha. Even when I was younger we took the rail down to Reliant to watch a game. I don't remember it before the rail was built. Where would it be closed at?

You still have Midtown which has no high-rises except HCC. (I think)
