Dallas was so small when I first saw it! I was like, wait, is that it? This is Dallas? I had always thought Dallas was this HUGE city when I was younger. I guess I was imagining things.
Dallas is huge. It's bigger than cities like Atlanta, Denver, and Ft worth. It's just not as huge as Houston. Despite being in a larger metro area, Houston still has the bigger feel simply because of its larger urban area. Houston is basically DFW rolled up in to one. Pretty much everything DFW has to offer can be seen within the 610 loop radius.

This is why, to me, Houston feels larger than DFW.

Yes, Houston most definitely has that "bigger city" feeling to it than the Dallas area.

Did anyone ever find the pictue with downtown and uptown Houston?

I miss Houston and Texas in general so much. I've been living up in the Northeast for almost 10 years now, but luckily I've been able to get back to Texas a good amount. I'm planning on moving somewhere down back south, and some of the places I'm considering are Houston, San Antonio, and Austin.

Here is a photo I took with my BlackBerry of the Houston Galleria during my weekend stay at the new A loft Hotel in Uptown.

Notice how you can see downtown off in the distance on the left side of the pic.

Thanks! Its only a 3.2 MP yet it takes better pics than a lot of much higher MP point & shoot digital cameras. Part of it is my photography skills though of course!

Definately not. There is something in DFW that niether Dallas or Houston can possess. Fort Worth.

In Fort Worth:
You can a small town feel in the middle of a big city.
You have a safe and very active downtown.
Houston may be more laid back than Dallas, but its not near as laid back as Fort Worth

You cant get any of that in Inside 635 or 610.

Dallas' 635 loop is quite a bit larger than Houston's 610 Loop. I consider everything inside of Dallas' Loop 12 to be a more fair comparison. Even then, Houston is still denser than Dallas.
