I think Austin already has the 3rd best skyline in Texas. But if they somehow get that T stacy project off the ground, it will easily have the 3rd best skyline in Texas. Easily. I think that project is dead though.

The change is exciting, but Austin's skyline isn't in the same league as Dallas and certainly not even close to Houston. It's still a nice change, though.

Austin has been amazing and seemingly bullet proof through the recession. A comparable city in size, Sacramento, had just as many exciting and tall proposals as Austin pre-financial collapse, all fell through except two 25 story office towers.

I didn't compare it to Dallas or Houston. I didn't even mention the two.....

I totally agree. But it sure makes a nice picture!

I honestly wonder how many people come here seeing stuff like that and expect a city like Dallas or Houston... only to find out we're still just the 4th largest city in Texas. Pretty amazing.

Austin's now (just beginning to be) in the HOUSE! I hope that demand and reality mesh... The new buildings are pretty nice.

Yeah, I live in downtown Austin, and there's a lot of new projects going on. It's easily got the 3rd best skyline in Texas now, as well as the 3rd tallest.
