If the veggie is "crisp" then send it back to pot. Green beans need to have bacon-grease in 'em and not "snap" when you eat 'em.

And I did fergit to mention hot cornbread smothered and slopped up in REAL butter?

Comfort food...by gawd....
Yep.......definitely it, along with a GOOD CFS (hard to find, really).....

Enchiladas drowned in gooey real cheese, chile con queso and chips.....

Homemade yeast-dough bear claws, dripping with butter-powdered sugar icing....ditto fresh-baked cinnamon rolls...

Baked potato covered with butter and sour cream....

Filet mignon off the grill with homemade fries or the aforementioned baked potato on the side.....

Cabrito or beef fajitas wrapped in homemade lard flour tortillas, topped with plenty of sour cream, cheese and salsa fresca...

NO on the soggy green beans!!! I HATE the overcooked, olive drab veggies of my childhood. I won't eat them now, LOL!!

Crisp, fresh, crunchy, either stir fried, steamed or MWed....gotta have something to go with all that comfort food....LOL!!

Oh yeah, I've always been a meat and taters kind of guy! I love just about every fried food there is. My favorite meal is a big ole chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and gravy, a juicy piece of corn on the cob, and a hot buttered roll (make that a dozen of those...LOL). A close second favorite is Barbecue (brisket), with potato salad and pinto beans and a slice of cornbread. Baby back ribs are hard to beat too! I also love a good steak, fajitas, and fresh fried catfish. And for breakfast, I like fried eggs, hash browns, bacon and some biscuits and gravy. I don't get to eat all this great stuff all the time but I do as often as possible...Yummy!!

Looks like a little afterthought, doesn't it? Or their idea of a joke!

There's only ONE reason I ever stop in a McDonald's for breakfast - and that's only if they have sausage gravy and biscuits on their menu. I get the "full order" - two large biscuits drowned in the sausage gravy. To that I add at least three packets of the hot salsa. YUMMMM!
