Default Restaurants in Harlingen?

We are traveling to the Valley this weekend for some fishing in Port Mansfield...we are flying into Harlingen...does anyone know of a good dinner restaurant there? We don't want to drive all the way down to Brownsville...any good steak houses or other must-see places? Yelp and Urbanspoon weren't very encouraging...just run of the mill Mexican places from what I saw. Thanks!

Yeah, that's one thing about the Valley. The BBQ is outstanding and vastly underrated. I'm going down on Monday and may have to check this place out. Thanks.

Yea it's pretty good, but the guy is coming from the GOOD FOOD capitol of the world: HOUSTON.

Longhorn BBQ is good if you like BBQ and meats. It's closer to San Benito.

Since you will be in Port Mansfield, another good place to eat is at a placed called THE BOOT CO. in Raymondville. See: Boot Company Bar & Grill Reviews, 205 East Hidalgo Avenue, Raymondville, TX, 78580 - ActiveDiner

Having lived in both, I think Valley BBQ beats Houston. Just my opinion. And I have heard of the Boot Company also. Only great things, too.
