Is anyone familiar with the Infinity Insurance Call Center in McAllen?

I would appreciate any info if you work there or know someone who does. I was offered a job there, but the pay is really low...even though it is cheaper to live in McAllen.

My concern is, if I move to McAllen and take the job and I don't like it, would there be other jobs available locally? I don't want to be stuck in a job, in an area with few alternatives, if this doesn't work out.

Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks.

Depending on where you're coming from, I think you might be more likely to dislike the McAllen area than the job. Have you visited it before?

Thanks for pointing that out Bowie. I have been to McAllen before and the city itself doesn't phase me.

But I am wondering if anyone has heard anything about this call center or what the market is like there for finding another job if this one didn't work out.

Call centers are pretty much all McAllen area has to offer. You are better off going into health care even if it's as an hourly gurney pusher. Education is always hiring also. And banking can be pretty good. I'm assuming you know Spanish. You are pretty much stuck at call centers if you do not.
