I was just talking today to a friend about 20 miles from the ski resort at Mont Tremblant, Quebec, and they have not yet had a one-inch snowfall. So here in south Texas, we will probably get an inch of snow before that Canadian ski lodge does. Houston is expecting 1-2 inches, and here in Victoria, about an inch.

After threatening to snow all week but only delivering a little sleet and rain, it is finally snowing with accumulation in Midland/Odessa this morning.

It's snowing now in Corpus Christi. It is beginning to accumulate in Victoria, where cars are covered with snow, but not yet on the ground.

I love snow. It only snowed for about 10 minutes at my house in Corpus. Other than that, it was sleet all day.

If you live in Houston, I don't think you have to worry about snow very often. One day of snow every decade or so beats hundreds of days of heat and humidity each year.

Well, what did everyone think of the winter of 09 - 10? Was it all that you hoped it would be? It looks like the predictions of a cold, long winter were correct.

I so loved it! Check out my profile picture, one of many that I took on that delightful day ... February 12, 2010. This past Winter was the best I can remember in over 30 years of living in Texas.
