I thought HEB had only a few stores in Mexico, but man was i surprised to see how many they have and how far south they have gone! just go to HEB's website and click on HEB mexico on the bottom and see there's stores. I did hear that the one store they had in Louisianna closed down. Seems they can't expand past Texas, but glad to see they've got Mexico. I'll be moving to Colorado and will miss it.

You need to sift through the expired dairy items, but the selection at Central Market is tough to beat. Hands down, the best in Texas.

Polls closed but the beloved HEB hands down. Ive traveled the world and the country and in my opinion, no other grocer beats the cleanliness, employee availability/assistance when needed, customer satisfaction, high standards for growers/farmers, employee benefits and treatment, produce freshness, lowest regular pricing without coupons then for icing on the cake, even lower pricing (with those beloved end cap deals) and yellow coupons on top of the lowest regular pricing. No one comes close in my opinion.

Still funny, but not much has changed except the expansion & contraction of some of those chain stores.
HEB is undoubtably still #1 by a mile.
