Hello everyone, this is my first post on city-data. I am interested in moving to Kerrville, Texas, and would like any information on senior apartments there. Is anyone familiar with The Meadows? I am old enough to live there, but an athletic baby boomer and not ready for the rocking chair. The apartments sound nice, but I know it's best to get first-hand info. I like the prices on the apartments, but I am open to other apartment suggestions too.
Thanks for your feedback...

Check out Rio Verde Apartments on Bandera Hwy, next to the Rio 10 Movie Theatre. My wife and I moved there in April 2009 and discovered that we were some of the youngest tenants. Many retired couples live there and enjoy the views, the decor, and the front office get-togethers.

If they are near Taco Casa, then you need to move there ASAP

Hi there,
I checked out your link, thank you for that, but nowhere could find anything about age restrictions? Are children allowed to live here?

There is not an age restriction at Rio Verde. I read your question as being senior-friendly apartments. You might want to check out some rental houses along Victory Ln. There may be townhomes available, and tenants along those streets require at least one member of the household to be 55+. I believe the area is called Vicksburg Village.

I will be relocating to Kerrville this summer (2011) and also looking for senior housing that is not income dependent. Any updates for 2011?
