I want to know what area of Texas is the epitomy of the Texas lifestyle and culture.. pro gun, country music and line dancing, ranches, cheap homes, pick up trucks, entrepreneurs, freedom-lovers, ranch owners.. One requirement it it must be safe and preferably good weather and not many illegals.. where is this place found?

Typically somewhat south of the Red River, west of the Sabine and east of the Rio Grande. I recall hearing about the rancher who, when laughed at because his ranch was only two acres, explained 'it was in downtown Dallas.'

And you can catch cowboys line dancin' at the Round Up. Heck, you can even catch 'em dancin with each other.

If no illegals is a requirement, youve pretty much ruled out anywhere within 50 miles of Dallas, San Antonio, Houston, El Paso, or the Rio Grande Valley. Maybe the Northern Panhandle.

The OP describes a place where people take matters into their own hands (pro gun, freedom lovers), but yet is worried about illegals?

Eutopia isn't found - it's made.

When you find it, let me know.

My guess would be NE Texas, about 25-50 miles away from I-20 and away from Dallas.

Except for the illegal thing, you can pretty much find this anywhere in Texas.
