Default What are peoples issues with perry?

I keep seeing comments like governor "good hair" and the like. What has he done that is so egregious that many people dislike him so much?

For one thing he has a terrible attitude. He's very smug and condescending.

He spent the first 8 years of his governorship dodging the media.

He supports selling infrastructure to foreign corporations.

He's well-known for putting lobbyists in charge of overseeing the groups they used to lobby for.

He tried to force a largely untested anti-HPV vaccine on every school-aged female in the state (a quid pro quo for his former chief-of-staff).

He's a career politician (25 years in Austin as a representative, ag commissioner, Lieutenant Governor, and Governor).

He'll say anything to get himself elected - he made all kinds of "securing the border" promises in '06 and then did absolutely nothing after he won re-election.

That should be enough to get you started.

I dislike him for all the reason's everyone else has mentioned. He's a political 'ho who panders to the extreme right wing in an effort to get re-elected. He does have good hair though.

Perry is not the best choice but who is. I agree with all the Perry comments here, but Kaye Bailey has broken lots of promises also.
So whats the choice, back in the same boat.

Trans-Texas Corridor. What a joke!

He promised the Texas thoroughbred racing industry that he would allow slots to increase purses, then caved in to the religious right and didn't allow them. This made many breeders and racers pack up and go to OK and LA where the purses are better.

I don't like any of them, so I have no clue who I'm going to vote for, but it WILL NOT be Bill White.

He made Houston a Sanctuary City for illegals. He also tied the Houston Police Force's hand behind their backs. So do I want Texas to "give in" and just let them in AND have neutered state troopers?? Heck No.

There's a list of other things that majorly bother me about Bill White, but those are the biggies. Honestly, I'm sick of everyone who's even been in office...clean house and start over.
