Default heritage lakes or the trails of frisco

I am relocating to the Frisco area with a child in middle school and 1 in highschool. I love the LOCATION and the ammenities in Heritage Lakes just concerned about the locations of the schools my biggest concern is feeling like your not part of the Frisco community going to Carrolton for the schools also haveing my teenagers drive all over for games such as flower mound etc. should this be an issue also is it kind of a wanna be community? unsure on the vibe there.or should i look at communities such as the trails. we are looking for a home in the 225,00 price range. thankyou for all your help!

I'm not familiar w/Heritage Lakes, but we have friends in the Trails and they like it very much. I know what you mean about having kids driving everywhere as they would be not only for school but social events. It seems (IMO) it would be more practical to stay in the Frisco district.

Heritage Lakes have a very, very high HOA. Trails are a little far out, but well worth the drive. It depends on what you are looking for in a community.
