Laredo is the Hottest, Dustiest place i've been in Texas...Man it hot there.
Its growing so much, there are some really nice neighborhoods being built, but the heat.

I really like McAllen...I would live in the RGV is the economy and jobs were better.

Mcallen or possibly Brownsville are what I'd choose.

I was surprised to find that McAllen now has 2 Barnes & Noble bookstores. Pretty slim pickins for reading when I lived there in '95. Because it gets so many "Winter Texans" the quality of the Mexican restaurants when I lived there was very good. I've lived in several towns on the Mexican border. Some places just aren't that friendly but due to all the winter visitors McAllen and the RGV tend to be very welcoming. They know the impact the visitors have. I had to be outside alot on the job so I wasn't a fan on the very hot and humid summers. But if you spend time indoors then it's not so bad. And the winters are terrific!

Laredo sucks, don't move here. It was vote the dumbest city in Texas. It does not even have a book store.

Did you live there? I noticed a grammatical error.

Laredo would be my last choice, for sure. I'm currently a resident due to a job relocation and I don't like it at all. Brownsville is closer to the beach, but I've heard McAllen is a nicer city.
