With disbelief I watched the democratic debate last night. I could not believe the insanity coming out of the mouth of Farouk Shami.

Statements like "my goal is that one day you will not have an electric bill", due to green energy, as if you can power a factory with wind and solar, and that "My goal will be to give everyone a job in Texas," as if the state governor is in some twisted way the CEO-Dictator of a Texas, Inc.

Furthermore, as if his $10 million dollar pledge is going to make a lick of difference in a state with an annual budget of $80 billion and a GDP of nearly $1 trillion. Those $10 million dollars won't mean a thing when Texas spirals into oblivion in pursuit of some twisted socialist dreamland envisioned by Farouk Shami.

Shami spoke of Texas like he was running for governor of Vermont, praising Obama and a fantasy world where the Texas economy can grow and thrive making soy burgers and solar panels.

Is he out of his mind?

When you have a lot of money, you don't have to spout lines that a consultant feeds you.

He first went wrong when he ran for governor with the name Farouk. No way are Texans going to elect a governor with an unfamiliar name like that. Its too "terrorist" sounding for much of them.

Well, at least if he doesn't create at least 100,000 jobs, he will write a check to the state for $10 million.

"Without Mexicans, it's like a day without sunshine" ....Farouk Shami

At least I THINK that's what he said.

Here's a thought:

Many economies would most likely come to a grinding halt - "Without Mexicans".

That and the guy is totally out of his gourd.

Beyond being totally unqualified, like the other joke Kinky Friedman, he doesn't even know how basic government works in Texas. He totally fumbled a basic question about how a governor could use her or his influence on a state budget.

Uhh aggie, Obama had a great chance when he ran for President of the United States, mostly because America is made up of non-Texans. He lost Texas.

Farouk has no chance.
