Have you been to the park headquarters yet? That would be a start. Pick up their brochures and maps and hike the trails in the Chisos Basin area that lead to the overlooks. The "Windows Trail" is one of the easier at 4 miles round trip, and also one of the best. Drive down to St. Elena canyon and soak your feet and walk the trails there.
