I've seen some correspondence about proposed legislation to make suppressors legal for use during hunting of game animals. I don't really understand why that matters exactly, but I can't think of a good reason not to be all for it either.

I'm in Harris County, a place in which ALL of the CLEO's either have open and notorious policies NOT to execute ATF Form 1 or Form 4 or any Form 1 or Form 4 delivered to their offices will be systematically ignored. There's always the trust route, but I can't reconcile the maintenance expenses as worthwhile.

I would really like to build a 5.56 "freeze plug" can, but that will have to wait. I stalk at night now and it's still pretty fun without the suppressor.

Honestly, I can't see the point in regulating suppressors...maybe for hunting in regards to poaching. All Suppressors due to reduce noise levels which is a safety concern when shooting as well as environmental noise pollution. I guess we owe it all to Hollywood.

I can't either. It blows my mind that hunting with a suppressor is not permitted but I can get tannerite. I can also go out at night with a high-capacity rifle, night vision and spotlights so long as I call the game warden and tell him "I'm not shooting at deer or any other game."
