Longview ISD has the best of everything, and the worst of everything. They are building several new campuses and have made big strides to improve in those areas of concern.

I know many people who have been well satisfied with the Longview ISD schools. It would not be my first choice, but for the OP it may very well be a good fit. The quality and success of the football program appears to be a top priority, so that narrows things down a little.

All school districts in the Longview/Marshall area are good, each district has positives and negatives. I prefer the smaller 2A & 3A school districts, but the 4A & 5A schools do have some academic offerings the smaller schools don't.

If football and racial diversity are high on the list of priorities ... Longview, Tatum, Marshall, Carthage, Jefferson and maybe Harleton are decent options.

Thanks for the links to the schools, loves2read, Spring Hill, Pine Tree and Hallsville look really good. Football does not trump academics and I was impressed with those scores. Do any of you have any feedback between these three district?

Spring Hill and Pine Tree would mean a longer commute being north, west and NW side of Longview. Hallsville is east of Longview mid way between Longview and Marshall, a better commute.
