I don't know about "best", but when visiting I've never had a problem with Alltel. B/CS is big enough that you probably won't have trouble with any company.

Now, get thyself to Freebirds and have a burrito! Mmmmmmmmmmmmm

I don't know about College Station specifically, but I think Verizon has the best coverage in Texas generally and has invested more money in expanding coverage in Texas than any of the other carriers. I live in the Waco area and I've tried Cingular, Sprint, AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon. None of the others come close to providing the coverage that Verizon provides in my area.

I really wish I could go with Cingular or T-Mobile for their cheaper plans, but I keep coming back to Verizon because a cell phone insn't much good if you don't get a signal.

I think Cingular is the best in CS. I have T-Mobile and always have problems when I am in CS

I've had Cingular for years and haven't had coverage problems in the area.

However, I have always heard positive reviews about Verizon.

Verizon will rip you off on their return policy. I got ripped by the Verizon Phonemart on University.

Took me 90 days to get my money back, even though they took it from my bank account in less than 24hrs.

You will not be able to customize your phone in any matter other than buying downloads from Verizon for wallpaper or any multimedia.

Doesn't make sense to me. If I buy the phone, it's mine. If I am issued a refund receipt, why does it take 3 months for the money to make its way back in to my account?

This is a bad company with rotten employees. ATT has great service and none of the tricks/traps of Verizon.
