Default Moving to Tx and looking for some info!!!!

Me and my family are looking to relocate to Tx from Ct amd would appriciate any info i can get. We are looking for a quite place were there is good schools and community. We are not in anyway racist and dont care what color, ethnic background ect people are but we what a place that has a certain mentality so to speak. We want to be were people are respectful and have values that we share. We want to get away from that want to be ghetto mentality that is very prevalent in all races up here were I am.They think they can say and do what ever they want because they are owed something when they do nothing but ruin peoples lives and area cause of how they act and treat people who have done thing to them just because they think it is fun and a game to play to tear down someone for no reason. We have been looking into Longview and the Gregg county area as well as Loan Oak so i wouls like any info that you all can share as I need to get my kids out of this state and some place they can thrive instead of being torn a part so to speak. Thanks Christine

You might look on the other side of DFW - Weatherford, Graham - out that way.

Cleburne or Sulphur Springs, maybe Waxahachie, too. Jefferson, Granbury, Canton are some I would also consider

I hate to say this but you need to look for areas where you can find a job. Texas is not the job mecca some rumors make it out to be. There is a lot of competition out there. Even local governments are starting to lay off folks. So make sure you have a good savings account or secure a job before you move. BTW the situation you describe exists down here as well.

thanks for the replies but have looked into jobs and have a few leads in that area. I am sure there is the same problems but not to the magnitude they are here. The population per square foot here is over 4,000 and from what i have looked in to not even close to that in the areas i am looking. We really need something different and a fresh start for my kids as it has gotten to the point no cares what has happened and can't or won't do anything about it.

If you prefer to live in the south, take a look at Sugar Land texas. I absolutely love it! Plus it is one of the safest cities in the USA and has a good mix of races and cultures.

I notice you are not getting much support for moving to East Texas. Perhaps that means something.
