Austin is the only city worth anything in Texas, IMO

I have to agree with RSTX. Round Top... Brenham... Jefferson... Paris... Tyler. Mainly small towns in East Texas and the Hill Country.

my favorite would be Galveston, with a pretty good beach and it's very cloce proximity to Houston. Austin, corpus, San Antonio, DFW, abeline, el pasa, big spring and S padre are all really good too!

Austin by far. I like Houston too. I lived in Galveston for 8 months or so and HATED it! Ugly beaches and ignorant residents. I couldn't wait to come back to SA and I'm not a big fan of SA so that is saying a lot.

Glen Flora because it was one of the last towns to have a switchboard operator and HE was a 42 yr old guy! I love small hamlets and often I stop by the post offices to send cards to friends and family... kind of fun to get a card from a small town in the middle of nowhere.... It's called "quaint"
