Default new to midland myself

I am new to the midland area as well, I moved up here after graduating from the surgical tech program at utmb galveston, it is a big change and culture shock coming from an island lifestyle to the permian basin, one that I did not have that much of a problem with except for the lifestyle we gave up, I love the beach and salt water fishing too much, also, my wife and I are nudists, there is not a resort within 300 miles of midland for us to enjoy are lifestyle, we are fairly young(mid 30's) and want an active beach community so we are moving to corpus in june or july, but other than not having the lifestyle we were able to have in galveston, I.E. the fishing and the resorts, midland has been a very nice city for the past year, and I honestly could see myself living here a while longer if I needed to, you just have to learn to adapt to the local culture, but that is any new city or town you move to, there is always a culture shock, but here in midland it wasn't that bad for us at all.

We Love Having New People Move To Our Community. It Is Wonderful That Our Town Is Growing So Much. Not Only Is It Good For The Economy, But Now We Have Lots More Choices For Restraunts And Shopping. If It Keeps Growing Like This We Will Not Have So Many People Complaining That There Is Nothing To Do Here. More Business Will Keep Coming To Town And I Would Bet More Entertainment. I Am Always Having People From Out Of State Tell Me How Friendly People Are In Midland. I Was New To Midland As A High School Freshman And Had An Easy Time Making Friends. Of Course I Think Midlanders Are Friendly, But I Am One. If You Want To Get Involved And Meet People You Just Have To Get Out There And Do It.
