Interesting idea for cleaning up oil spills.

Cool solution to clean up oil disaster. [VIDEO]

It looks like this could help considerably. What the video demonstrates is that oil will attach it self to hay that is spread on the water, which can then be rather easily scooped up and removed.

I've heard of that idea, and it's good as far as it goes. It does nothing, however, for all the life that used to live in the water below the surface, and oil will still appear from below along the shorelines. Still, it's better than nothing.
