Hi-
A friend told me to get this item at this restaurant on an upcoming road trip to Jim's Krispy Fried Chicken in Mexia, Dr. Pepper Museum & Health Camp Ice Cream Malts in Waco, as well as a drive to Austin, San Marcos & maybe New Braunfels. Does anyone know anything about V-Tech Restaurant Waco & its "Gut Pack"??

Thanks,
fallguy

V-Tech??? I've never heard of that. Waco is home to Jim's Krispy Fried Chicken as well; if your taking 35; than Mexia will be out of your way.

Mmmm..."Gut Pack" (Homer Simpson drooling). That really sounds appetizing. Sounds like something to do with eviscerating a deer in the field after shooting it.

Nevrr heard of it before.

Thanks catman!! I found out through someone else the proper spelling of the place is V-I-T-E-K'S BBQ (EST. 1915) at 1600 Speight Ave. in Waco.

I can't tell you how many times I ate at Vitek's while at Baylor. The gut pack is a must; it's fritos covered with beans, your choice of any barbeque on top of it, cheese, onions, etc. When are you headed down there?

Hello, lakehighlands-
I'm going to Mexia and Waco and San Marcos and Austin and New Braunfels on Saturday 17 July 2010 with my friend Sean. We are staying at the Austin home of my friend Ben.

Getting to Vitek's to get your taste of its famous Gut Pak, take the 17th-18th exit which is right off I-35. You can see the Harley Davidson store there because Vitek's is just right across from that store. It is also near Scholtzky's and Burger King.

I never had the Gut Pak, but I've heard from a lot of people saying that it's great.
