Default Favorite Places to Eat in Toledo!!

Dunno if this has been done...

One thing I definitely miss about Toledo is the abundance of GOOD food!! Today I was sitting in a lecture and randomly started craving gino's pizza lol. Curious... Toledo residents...what are your favorite restaurants?

My list:

1. Gino's Pizza (The FIRST place I go every time i'm in town!)
2. Netty's (chilli dog with onion, extra mustard...'nough said)
3. Wixy's Bakery (I have yet to find cake that compares!)
4. Uncle John's Pancake House (I would cut off my left hand right now just for a blueberry waffle )
5. Mr. Freeze (I had to go through a 12 step program to ween myself from their s'mores ice cream sundae)
6. Rosie's Pizza (omg...hot mama bread? YES PLEASE!)
7. Los Amigos (hole in the wall Mexican restaurant with the best guacamole EVER! I have never found Mexican food so cheap yet DELICIOUS!)
8. Door St. Cafe (If you haven't had their rueben...you haven't lived, end of story)

...How about you?

I'd have to throw Burger Bar 419 up near the top of my list. I love everything about the place. Plus, to add a little extra oomph for you, once you're done, you can walk a few shops over and get yourself some dessert at the new Wixie shop that opened up there!

Yup, in the plaza at the intersection of Heatherdowns and Key/Eastgate. Burger Bar 419 is where the Mustard Seed used to be, and Wixie is right next to Shawn's Irish Tavern (formerly Shawn's Back Door).

As for Spaghetti Warehouse, it's still around, and doing good business. I don't know why it draws the crowd it does, but it's always among the most heavily-patronized restaurants in downtown.

I don't even care for the spaghetti warehouse. I like the place, the buildngs cool and all....but the past few times I've been there over the past few years I think its just gone downhill. Foods no better than Olive Garden if you ask me, service is probably worse. Just my opinion though.

I'm hoping the new placeon Monroe by the Blarney is good.

JoJo's on Monroe has perhaps the best eggplant parmesan I've ever had. And *******er's has some of the best pie in Ohio.

Oh, good grief--almost Smuckers--the hole-in-the-wall diner on Reynolds that's been there since 1948.

Do you mean Mr Freeze on McCord? Mr G's Barn down the road, in Holland is really good too. And, there's a Netty's in Holland on Angola and Clark Street too, if those ice cream places are busy. It never is, and they have great service.
