Question Western/Hawley

Hello Toledoans!

I'm looking at a multi-unit in this area. Already rented, owner is selling due to health problems. After reading through some threads, it seems to be a bad part of town. Are we talking war zone with bullets flying? I can't find much information on crimereports.com or crimemapping.com. Since I'm out of state, a property manager would be handling things.

Thank you for your input!

I wouldn't say war zone. It's not that great of an area, and crime is commonplace. Shootings aren't uncommon, and you get homicides in the neighborhood every once in a while. Hawley is a rough street its entire length. I would say its a little better by Western, in comparison to by Nebraska and Dorr, but its still not good.

If you're not looking to live there yourself though maybe its not an issue for you. You'll be renting to lower income people, most likely.
