Perrysburg is certainly a very "white" place to live but I wouldn't count on it for a healthy ecology or organic food. Perrysburg offers a very safe, sheltered and conservative existance if that's what you're looking for. I'm not offering this as a criticism of Perrysburg but I wanted to give you a more balanced view. I, personally, value a certain amount of diversity of views, socioeconmic conditions, and physical characteristics that Perrysburg simply doesn't have.

An area that would more closely fit what you're looking for would be Ann Arbor, MI. It's about a hour north or Toledo. It offers a safe, diverse, ecologically-minded populus and has several venues for purchasing organic and locally grown foods (including a Whole Foods, something the Toledo area lacks).

nice area I am moving from michigan to perrysburg. bought home there in Nov and will be living there full time in June. Home larger than what I currently live in for a lot less in price. Schools rate very high on Great Schools web site one of the reasons I selected this area. New indoor soccer arena with a few other activities coming. Many things to do nearby. Toledo zoo, Cosi, toledo botanical gardens just to name a few. Looking forward to moving there.

But be prepared for the High taxes that will come on your 300K house and also you will have to pay 1.5% of your income to the city for the privlidge of working there. So even if you live out side the city you will make this doantion. Even more if you live in Maumee and work in Perrysburg.

But is is a nice place to live.

Default Southern California to Perrysburg

I'm interviewing for a job with a potential move to Perrysburg. I'm married with two kids. Being from the LA/Orange County area I've enjoyed the ethnic diversity here. I'm Asian and I'm wondering how diverse Perrysburg is. Would this be a good place to raise an ethnic family? Would I have to start rooting for the Cavaliers?
