Default Job offer in bowling green

Hello, My husband has a job offer in bowling green ohio . We are from MI and live in columbus ohio now. I am looking for a nice small town as close to the MI border as I can get without too long of a drive to bowling green. We are from a small town in MI and live in a small town now outside of columbus (canal winchester) and we loved both places. I have never been to the bowling green area so any info you could give me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks !!!

For you information Bowling Green is a nice college town with good school and residents. Be advised it is much windier her than south east of Columbus. As to getting to MI. I-75 runs right next to BG so you could be in Ann Arbor in less than 1 hour from BG. If you are from western MI you can always run the turnpike west and then go up I-69 or M130. I live in town and do enjoy the city. We have all we need from small shops to Kroger Wal-Mart Home depot and even now a Hobby Lobby. Be advised though housing prices are slightly higher than the surrounding areas due to the BGSU. Good Luck, Whom is the job offer with?

I went to grad school in BG and recently moved away from it...while I complained about it while i was there (not much going on, having to go to Toledo for most stores and restaurants, bad college student drivers), I actually really miss it. It really is a nice town. Perrysburg's a nice town and just about 10 mins away from BG....there are a ton of tiny rural towns around in Wood County (some may be too small and have people who don't seem to have ever left their tiny community).....As for places more near the MI border, I haven't been in Sylvania much to know much about it, but I knew people who lived there and liked it - and it's right up there by Michigan. Maumee doesn't seem bad. I am sure Toledo has some nice areas. Well, I am better with answering questions specifically about BG than the surrounding towns, so if you have any q's about BG, ask away.
