Toledo to Findlay and In Between
Hi all!
In an effort to get us a Northwest Ohio Forum...
I am always looking for things to do with my kids. I know Toledo Zoo-- we've been members for years, and that COSI is staging a come back.
But what are some more unique options to do with your kids in [Northwest] Ohio.
My kids are 2.5, 4.5, and 8.

COSI coming back is great news for younger kids.
There are also the metro parks, Toledo Botanical Garden, paddle boating on the Maumee River at the Docks, boating... Lots of great family friendly activities!
And most importantly, don't forget Mud Hens games and the new Hockey Arena with the Toledo Walleye. Gotta get those kids to be sports fans young :-]

I can't wait for that. I've got a buddy who lives up in Port Clinton and we used to go see the Storm at the Sports Arena at least once or twice a year. I hope the new place has some of the charm of the old one. I'm sure most of the same people will come to the games, Toledo has great hockey fans.

I haven't lived there in years, but I used to love taking my son to all the festivals, fairs, and carnivals - Spring, Summer, and Fall. It seemed that almost every week there was some kind of event happening that we could go to. Strawberry Festivals, Tractor Pulls, Apple Butter Festival, all the Ethnic Festivals, pumpkins patches, etc.
All the metroparks, the zoo and all the programs it offerred, ice skating at the ice arena in Toledo, etc. I don't ever remember being without something to do! Those who say they are bored with the Toledo area, must not take advantage of all it has to offer. We used to get out and go for drives through all the rural small towns and run into all kinds of stuff to do - within 30 or 45 minutes of the Toledo city limits.

I know Cedar Point has a lot of the big roller coasters, the biggest in the world, but since it is such a popular theme park, they have a lot to do for the little ones too.
Cedar Point Amusement Park, The Roller Coaster Capital of the World!
