Toledo/Northwest Ohio Forum
There has been a lot of Toledo/NW Ohio chatter lately. Are we getting close to a forum?

Thanks!
It does seem like since the last time the issue was addressed, that we've had a lot more chatter.
Would it be Toledo or Northwest OH? Just wondering...
And thanks again for checking!

For a number of reasons, I've always found it odd that Dayton and Akron/Canton have forums, but not Toledo.

I do know it has to do with the number of threads about them, but we will get an answer soon, so just hang on.

Lol... I was just thinking of posting the same question. Definitely more activity lately.
I was thinking that if/when we get our own board, there would be even more posts because the titles wouldn't have to include "Toledo" to be specific to the area. They could be like "Best Diners" or "Recreational Sports Leagues" or "Favorite Shops" or something... y'know generic titled stuff that relates to the region.

Let me check the numbers again. As of the posting of this response....
• There are 114 threads with "Toledo" in the title - holding a total of 1010 responses.
• There are 117 threads with "Akron" in the title - holding a total of 817 responses.
It seems to me that threads containing "Toledo" in the title are garnering far more interest and attention than the ones which contain "Akron" in the title. Wouldn't that fact alone be sufficient justification for allowing Toledo to have its own sub-forum? I think so.
If Akron didn't have Canton lumped in with its sub-forum, would there really be any justification for it having its own sub-forum at all? I don't think so.

For that matter, it makes sense to me to have a Northeast Ohio forum that encompasses Cleveland, Akron and Canton, and also a combined Cincy-Dayton forum.
But, hey.....Keep the theads coming. A few suggested threads:
1. Recall Carty?
2. How 'bout them Hens!
3. Lost landmarks of Toledo (Betsy Ross', Food Town, etc.)
Anything else??

I was thinking today about the many projects that were on the drawing board for toledo. Now because of the horrible recession were in , all most all have been tabled for who knows how long. The marina distric.,the southwyck rebirth, the swan creek river walk project, plus many smaller projects.I wonder how many years it might be before the economy returns to life? The housing market is totally in the dump. And the home values have dropped to a all time low. I had a value of $225000 on my condo 3 years ago . now I'm told that maybe its worth $165000. As a retiree I may not live long enough to recoup a $60000 loss. Where are we heading as a country? I think we are all now paying for the greed and living beyound our means- lifestyle.
