Not really, he pretty much spoke the truth. Although digging up threads from two years ago is bad form.

This thread is ancient and the post that revived it was both racist and non-constructive, but I'd like to take the opportunity to warn people about a traffic sting.

Don't run the 'no turn on red' sign at Byrne and Dorr. It doesn't matter if it's 3am and you're the only car on the road. There's a good chance that an unmarked, jet black TPD cruiser will be waiting just out of sight to bust you. $135 ticket in traffic court. Apparently, it's been running for years.

Since I found out about it the hard way, and make a point not to run it anymore, I noticed that quite often there's a cruiser sitting right there just waiting for people.

I tried calling the higher ups about changing the sign to 'during peak hours' like some cities have, but their reason for not doing it was that the light at Dorr & Secor wouldn't change any sooner, so it didn't give drivers turning onto Dorr any advantage to go sooner.

It's basically just a big traffic sting / revenue generator for the city. 2 points raised my insurance $100 per half as well.

Don't take this personally, but I got quite a chuckle out of the idea that someone whose s/n is "lasvegasfanforever" posted this. But then again...if anyone would know about a place being like a cockroach that won't die and being like a big stain you can't remove...
