To those who don't know (or didn't guess), Katie Holmes is from an inner-ring suburb of Toledo, Sylvania. Of course, her image is magnified by her marriage choice.....Tom Cruise.
Also from Sylvania.....Chip Davis (Mannheim Steamroller).
From Toledo.....
Teresa Brewer (Torch singer, 1940s and 1950s)
Danny Thomas (Born just a tad north, in Michigan and lived in T-Town)
Tom Sholz (Rock and Roll band, Boston.....from inner-ring suburb Ottawa Hills)
Joe E. Brown (1930-1960 comedy dude. large mouth was his signature)
Art Tatum (Jazz)
Jamie Farr (Klinger, on MASH)

I know her family in Toledo and they are wonderful, normal people who love her and her family. No big mystery-normal folks.

Ha...I went to elementary and junior high with her, and my sister graduated with her from NDA.
My sister used to run into her best friends from high school...one that actually made it onto E! and the magazines articles because they were so close. After the whole Tom thing it sounds like she dropped off the planet as far as keeping in touch with anyone went.
My mom ran into her mom at the grocery once and asked about Katie during the Tom/couch fiasco...completely ignorant of the hoopla. After talking she turned around and saw the tabloids and felt pretty bad.....I just had to laugh.
