This may be redundant but, does chain restaurants in Toronto and other provinces accepts U.S currency or just certain ones? Granted the exchange rate will be charged, however just want to get a general idea about currencies. Thanks again...

The vast majority of them would but you will get dinged on the exchange rate.

Check your debit card -- see those symbols, if you go to an ATM with those symbols you don't pay that much in fees and the exchange rate is much better.

I have a Canadian account, so i cash a US check and get money that way. My RBC account charges me nothing to cash a US check.

Idk, if you used your new bank account yet but, what is the currency exchange rate for BoA? I'm thinking about opening an account for them to use only for vacation trips only. I DO like your idea for that one. Thinking about opening the account by the end of the month. Thanks...
