Scope has been determined repeatedly already. Sub-machine guns were banned decades ago. Full-auto assault rifles more recently. They've also struck down local (state and city) attempts at limiting that right.

Contrary to what has been stated, Piers Morgan has called for the striking down of the 2nd Amendment. He's made more than the one statement in that one clip. For a Brit to lecture Americans, of all nationalities, strikes a sensitive nerve. If you fail to grasp the irony of that, I feel sorry for you.

And ......I mention that I don't own a firearm ONLY to people like you that directly quote me and then insist on posting a reply that calls me a "gun freak".

Now 20 little children and 6 adults are dead because of its foolishness. The gun lobby in this country has so much power in this country its terrifying. The lack of health care and measures and funding to help the mentally ill are not there. These two problems have collided and now people are dead.

I don't really blame the world for wondering about the USA, and the people/mindset that make it up. I mean get real. One after the other massacre, two just this week. What the hell do people expect the world to think of us. At least they notice. Its more than many American do.

The right to bear arms was written in 1791. It will be 2013 in 6 weeks. Its not the same damn world as 1791. The thing needs to be rewritten, for the modern violent screwed up society that makes up much of the USA now.

You want to get mad at Canadians, for noticing something is seriously amiss in America. Thats the wrong approach. They are and have been a very good neighbor for many years. Do something to change the mess we are in. Contact your politicians and demand the roots to this problem are addressed. The large numbers of Mentally Ill not being treated in this country. The easy access to guns by people that have no business getting them. The reasons finally addressed why are guns capable of killing 20 little kids and more not put under lock and key. I mean get real instead of blaming the Canadians, for saying what probably should be said. And that is to wake up Americans because many are asleep or sedated in this country to its many problems.
WOW, excellent post, my sentiments exactly!

One of the first things I mentioned after this incident was Canada. Sure, there have been tragedies in the past, but absolutely no where near what we have seen. The United States and it's citizens who feel this country is the "best country in the world" need to get over it and start seeing the US for what it is. Instead of speaking so poorly about Canadians, take a look at what they are doing, because they are doing A LOT right! So are many other countries in this world. I don't blame anyone in any other country for laughing at the US or speaking down.

But all his comments turned out to be nonsensical insulting gibberish in general. So I guess the point is moot.

Please post a link to where he makes a general call for your population to strike down the 2nd amendment. I've sat through more of his chit than I'd care to repeat but not once did I catch him doing that.

Now once we establish he did or did not; I'd like to ask how that is pertinent to the call for his deportation?

If one of your legislator's has the balls to propose the amendment be either struck down or amended; what then? He's doing his job isn't he?

Amendments by the very nature of their description CAN be amended; that's how they came to be in the first place but how does that occur in a country that feels it's appropriate to gauge the worthiness of a suggestion by the country of it's origin.

Here's another thought for you; were every country that has endured American intrusion in it's affairs to hold yours in the same disdain you seem to reserve for either the U.K. or France you'd never get to travel outside your own borders. Use some logic fer chrissake before you post nonsense like the red portion.

You're a little thin skinned aren't you? Being called a "gun freak" could reasonably be applied to someone who espouses vociferously to protect any rights or priviledges currently held by gun owners WITHOUT HAVING TO OWN ONE couldn't it?

Those are sad stories but we should keep this a "Bash USA" thread and not a "Bash the World" thread.
