Yeah, they do run 24 hours along with several major bus routes. Keep in mind, they don't come very often. The Queen car comes the most often after-hours. Toronto really has to keep subway trains running later.

those entitled union workers will ask for $200k a year for doing that.
Is it inconvenient to stay around a street car area? The place I'm looking at has a street car around lakeshore/bathurst - but I'm not sure if it will be convenient to get around?
^^^Lakeshore and Bathurst is all right, but it's generally better to be on the north side of the Gardiner. Bathurst is very central, but it depends on what you're looking to do - Toronto is a big city.
I'm thinking of renting around that area (Lakeshore/Bathurst). Will it be central enough to get to north york? I don't want to live in North York, but I am hoping this area won't be too bad to commute?

North York is huge, where in NY do you usually go? Do you take transit or drive?
I agree with the previous post that life is better north of the Gardiner/Lakeshore preferably north of the train tracks,.
Close to sheppard and yonge I think. So lakeshore/bathurst is not a good place to live?
You could certainly do worse than Lakeshore / Bathurst. If you give me a better idea of the type of accomodation you're looking for (rental, lease, mortgage; house, apartment, condo, loft) and what your budget is, I can point you to areas with faster commute times to your work and better overall location. Also, you should mention how long your ideal commute would be, whether you want to hop right on the subway and cruise to Sheppard Station, or if you're willing to take a short streetcar ride or a short walk to get to the subway.
