“Join the YOG, Embrace the Future”--- Art Works Solicitation for Nanjing 2014 International Youth Drawing Competition
The 2nd Summer Youth Olympic Games (YOG) will be held from August 16th to 28th , 2014, in Nanjing, China. These games are part of the International Olympic movement.
To help young people better enjoy, participate in and publicize the games, and promote the Olympic values “Express excellence with vigor, share friendship with happiness and feel respect with appreciation”, and to motivate youth to learn and pass on the Olympic ideals, a drawing competition – The Nanjing 2014 International Youth Drawing Competition will be held.
Youth between the ages of 6 and 18 who love drawing and who believe in the Olympic spirit are invited to participate in this competition. There are two sections – Children’s Section (6 to 12 year olds) and Teenager (13 – 18 year olds).
Certificates will be awarded to each group in the following categories: Finalist (200), Awards of Excellence (30) and Winners (20). The 20 winners and 30 Award of Excellence Winners will receive licensed merchandize from Nanjing 2014 while the winners will be invited to participate in a summer camp held during the 2nd Asian Youth Games, Nanjing 2013 and provided tickets to certain games. The winners will also be invited to a Culture and Education Programme organized by the Nanjing Youth Olympic Games Organizing Committee.
The Ontario – Jiangsu Friendship Association has been designated by the Organizing Committee to collect the participant’s art work from across Canada and will forward the entries to the Committee in Nanjing, China.
