I do go to venues with 20 years frquently. Not as much has changed fundamentally.

It is kind of funny watching them.

Man if you don’t think social media completely changed the way people hook up you don’t know what you are talking about.

I agree. I missed your reference to that.

But in terms of the physical interactions.

The format has changed but the core principles have not changed.

Well it’s up for rich guys to decide if they want someone who’s after their wallet I guess. I’d be brining a lot in assets to Canada but sounds like I’m best hiding them. Gold diggers are terrible, terrible people. But I guess some people will marry another just on looks, male or female. So where do you draw the line on what’s acceptable to form a relationship? I enjoy being on my own, let’s me live a good lifestyle.

I’m curious though why do a lot go mad for money anyhow, surely despite high living costs and lots of seemingly poor young people, there must be an abundance of rich people they can bleed dry?
I find the comments on someone finding s guy attractive because he has a car or “Mercedes” difficult to wrap my head around. Here a Mercedes is considered a really bog standard vehicle. Well better than average but no head turner. I guess people see a car and think it’s costly to run so know what income they’d be on? I find this oddly fascinating, the cultural differences. I’ve met very, very few gold diggers here, it’s just not a british thing really.

I was teaaing my daughter the other day about when she gets married one day. She said .... Married? I don't want to marry anyone unless they have lots of money and nice car. My face

Then she said ha ha ha just joking. ( I dont think she was kidding).

Then I scratched my head and thought .... what a devil.... but she might be a lot smarter then me.

Love is a gamble regardless..... might as well have a Ferrari or at least a Porsche to console you if the marriage turns sour lol.
I’ve no idea if I’m honest. I did go on tinder in toronto and without really registering it I did seem to get interest from people I shouldn’t get interest from, I guess they saw my Instagram and smelt gold. Who knows?
It’s an interesting discussion as people will get together for either, looks, money, love, etc. There has to be some initial peak of interest that sets the ball rolling. But would you class someone who wants a man as a hug earner a gold digger or just someone looking for security in life? It’s all perspective maybe.

Hahahha! Well your daughter might generally mean she’s not fussed about marriage but will consider it if it’s almost too good to be true, which I can kind of understand. On average I’ve noticed money does seems to drive attraction differently in the US and Canada than the Uk. We’re more private reserved people so people worry about being perceived poorly. I guess in Canada women don’t give a hoot if people know they’re gold digging.

I was going to shell out for a BMW i8 when I finally hit toronto, I think with the prospect of sharks circling me as off putting. I’m a shy man, I don’t like attention but I love cars. Have you heard of CANZUK over 5ere by the way? It’s been hard for me to get in Canada, I’d be annoyed if thousands of Brits started pouring into toronto, I trying to escape Brits
