...when you know how to pronounce Bloor, Spadina and Eglinton.

..when you pronounce the name of the city with a d.

Not true. Just about anywhere I've lived outside the GTA describes it in miles or kilometres.

Odd. In any other city I can remember being in, when asking for directions to somewhere within the city, they always tell me time, # of subway stops or blocks... not km/mi.

You know when you are in Toronto when woman make eye contact but seem to have a look of apprehension in the presence of a straight male...also- You know when you are in Toronto when you avoid eye contact with the overly abundant gay population....Nothing more insulting to an old school conservative than to be mistaken as one of THEM....oh....sorry....You know you are in Toronto when you are accused of bashing for even uttering such a thought.

You know you are in Toronto when the hopelessly injured insane homeless people wandering the streets out number the tourists. You also know you are in Toronto when you see people lined up for breakfast on the street thinking they are being trendy because they have discovered a thing called butter....you also know you are in Toronto when you see thousands of older white people sitting having 80 dollar lunches in our many eateries and you wonder....where do these people who contribute nothing to society get all of that disposable income.
