In your opinion, which route gives a more impressive view of the Toronto skyline?

Taking the Don Valley Parkway southbound which turns into the Gardiner East

or

Taking the Gardiner Expressway coming from the west?

*A tourist from Montreal for example would be taking the former, while someone coming from the Niagara Falls border would taking the latter.

The DVP is more "scenic" but nothing beats coming into the core from the west on the Gardner - this is where you get the full scope of the skyline and feel the 'canyon' effect.

Knew what you meant.

Btw, I plan on checking out the skyline view from Riverdale park in a few months when I'm back up like you recommended. I haven't been in that park in years. Used to play cricket there back in the day.

Its a nice view - just drive along Broadview between Gerrard and Bloor/Danforth - you can park right on the street after 9 pm and there are benches right there... Beforehand though

stop off and get a burger link below - you can admire the view and munch on a coronary burger

You trying to give me a heart attack?? Actually I think I may give that plan a try. There's a coffee shop around there I wanted to try also.

OP made that a bit confusing. I voted for East as I thought that it was based on the direction being travelled.

I voted for the route coming from the West. It pretty cool to see a big cluster of buildings in the horizon then zip right through them.
