People of my age tend to bemoan the changing of times, but truth be told these animals have always been unnoticed among us until they make a mistake.

Going back to the miscarriage of justice that was the Steven Truscott case, it was a shame whoever killed that young girl had probably done it before or since without ever facing a court. Today's awareness instincts need to be heightened because these characters now seem to spend more time mastering the art of blending.

At least today we have better systems of detection and forensics that will combine to put this flawed defective where he belongs.

One of the investigative threads that is going to take months is....looking at every place he has lived in the past... every job he ever had...and trying to match him to any past missing person cases.

His electronic path way, his contacts, his friends. His previously owned vehicles, his past residences... all for forensic evidence searches. Blood soaked into cracks in a wood floor can be detected by using luminal spray, which reacts with the iron in blood, and glows under a black light source. Same thing on automobile carpeting. Luminal can detect blood stains that are very old. A further investigation tool is testing the sink and or bath tub drains, for human tissue or bone fragments.

This may turn out to be the most complex and longest running investigation in the history of the TPS........rivalled by the Sherman case of course. Now imagine how over stressed the Homicide and Forensics units of TPS are, right now by these two cases......now add the weekly drug shootings and the hubby kills wife ones. All have to be dealt with, don't they ?

The most recent TPS press release makes it clear that Bruce MC Arthur is the man. The remains of six different persons have been found in the backyard of the house in Leaside on Mallory Crescent. One of them has been conclusively identified.

TPS are also seeking assistance from other Police agencies in Canada, and with Police in other countries where the accused has travelled in the past.

I don't think anyone did. Not sure why we get surprised anymore when a monster appears. Horrible man.

When I think about it, it really freaks me out looking back. I've been in the villiage a lot in my adult life and I could have seen this guy several times. Maybe even said a polite hi in passing...My partner even knew one of the victims.

A further recent development......McArthur's grown son ( who has extensive criminal record going back 15 years ) may also be involved. He is the older of two children fathered by McArthur.

Toronto Police refused to comment, when asked by media if the son was being investigated as a accomplice in the murders that his father has been charged with.

His court appearance in Oshawa was for a unrelated criminal charge.
