If you don't need a new car right now, you can always wait. Closer to the end of the year, you will get a good deal on any remaining inventory. Since the Tercel runs well right now, it might not be bad to put it off until the last week or so of December, provided you can find the car you want in stock.

Yes, you can call and talk to the fleet manager at the dealership. Some may want you to use the Internet department if you submit an online request, but generally you can get a price from a fleet manager, provided you know what you want to buy. I have never known one to refuse to sell a car to a customer who was ready to buy. It's the test drives and such that the fleet sales department does not deal with, as they usually sell vehicles in volume.

my selfish narcissistic brother had left my holiday plans up in the air and it's possible i might be losing not only a brother because of it but also a sister in law and a nephew as well, leaving me with no one as all my relatives are dead

i may even have to go to court in the future it's seriously ugly

no one should ever have this happen to them

anyway yeah maybe waiting would be better

maybe i'm too agitated to think clearly about this

i keep thinking back to 1992 when my dad was in the dealership with me buying my new Tercel and trading in the '88

at that time i think i paid like $9 or $10,000 for my Tercel

Oh, I am so very sorry to hear of all the stress that you're under right now. I would definitely wait until things settle down before you get a new car. You don't need the stress, and you have Joe Torre to keep you on the road right now, so it's not an absolute need. Definitely put it off.

I would cancel with Fordham and call the dealership for the fleet program when you are ready.

what should i do about Westchester Toyota. the guy who took me for a drive claimed the 5 door SE we drove was $18,000 does that mean that would be what they would quote me if i sat down with them(I did not actually sit down with them to talk price per se)

bmw guy you mentioned not to call the fleet mgr or do internet quote since i was already there do i still have any bargaining room at Westchester?

Yes, you can still bargain at Westchester, though it would be the old fashioned way. $18k would be his first offer, but if you research the prices and then make your offer, you can negotiate. You would definitely have bargaining room, but not the same baseline out the door price with limited negotiation as you would have from the fleet manager.

re a used car how would i arrange to have the seller allow me to have my mechanic look at my car? this "Joe Torre" is a real expert and if he can't find anything wrong, nobody can
