LRPct... feel free to do it on yours. I've seen what that stuff will do to some brake pads (been a pro MC mechanic since 2000, was a racer for 6 years prior to that) and won't trust a brake pad that's had any contact with chemicals. Sorry, but it's just not worth the risk.

Brake Cleaner is for use in cleaning the components of a brake system while it's disassembled for maintenance.. i.e. pads removed and set somewhere safe (or new pads waiting in a package to go in when the system is reassembled).

OP never said anything about pads. And if incidental contact was so worrisome for pads you should relay that to all the F1, IndyCar, ALMS, WEC, WRC, GA, and MotoGP mechanics that have alot more experience than you and dont worry about half as much as you seem to do.

Remove the wheel.... tape off and bag the caliper/brake pad. Lightly coat the rotor in oil. Then when you go to drive next, clean it carefully, rinse with water then remove tape/plastic and drive the car to a fastfood place and eat it inside of the car.
