05 Toyota Prius with 130k miles vs 03 Pontac Vibe (same as Toyota Matrix) with 67k miles.,,

Which one would you KEEP (I think they are worth roughly the same amount; Prius might be worth slightly more). Plan to keep for about 3-4 more years (~50k more miles).

I wonder which one will be more reliable and cost effective over the next four years?
Prius battery is pricey, IF needed in the future.

Own both and both are in good condition; never had any problems with either one, although the Prius is starting to develop some minor quirks (ie have to lock/unlock passenger door manually; fixed Vibe's A/C about a year ago. Imo, the Prius drives and looks better though. I hadn't even considered selling the Prius but the idea recently occurred to me. (You many recall that I wrote another post recently about selling our Vibe vs Outback which is our 3rd car).

Just wondering what you would do as I'm trying to decide what to do...

Keep them both that way if one dies, you still have the other.

That actually has merit to it. As we always keep a spare car. Sometimes folks can't though.
Keep Prius, if your driving style provides benefits of a hybrid. If not - sell it. Prii are super reliable and well known to go easy into 300 000 miles with only minor performance drop.
Why do think you see so many taxi cabs as Prius?
