I have an 05' limited fully loaded, V8 motor. It has 142,000 miles and it has zero ZERO issues. The truck runs like a champ. All I ahve done is changed brakes fluids and plugs.
On a side note, it survived being up to it's bumper in water from Sandy and didn't miss a beat. No water issues, no rust issues. Great truck.

Mine's an SR5. Did all the updates under the hood two years ago when the gasket plugs started a slow leak (normal w/t at that point) at 166K (once my mechanic was in that deep I thought it best to get it all done). Other than that, brakes/tires/oil changes.
Mine went through outside mirror deep water during one the 'canes that blew sideways next to Sarasota back in 2007; no water issues or rust ~ Love my Yota!!
Just stay away from 2nd generation ones, 1990-1995. Lackluster engine, poor fuel mileage, small gas tank and some people have had problems with the head gasket. I have a 92 and love it but would trade up if I could afford a newer one.

I have a relative with a 1995 Pathfinder still on the road at 150k miles, other than routine maintenance it's needed only a new heater fan motor, when a clogged AC drip tube flooded it out and rusted it.
